Trained in Fine Arts at the University of Barcelona and in Animation at the WSCAD-UK, Carolina Lopez is currently Director of Xcèntric, the steady film programme of the Centre of Contemporary Culture of Barcelona (CCCB). She also co-curates the cicle 'Little Stories of Cinema' for MACBA (Museum of Contemporary Art of Barcelona). From its creation in 1993 untill 2004 she was responsible of Anima't, the animation section at the Sitges International Film Festival of Catalonia. She directed two editions of the Animac festival, Lleida and has curated Resfest Spain for the pasts two years. She has made three films as an independent filmmaker and many more as a director of commercials and TV works for MTV, Canal Plus, TVE and Nickelodeon. The book 'Mamá quiero ser Artista' has a chapter on her work and he has edited the book on experimental film 'Xcèntric, 45 Films Agaisnt the Grain'
